We always seem to forget about the hidden treasures outside our front door. We have a a great state park about 10 minutes away from our house. We decided to venture out there with some friends Saturday because there was to be an Easter Egg Hunt. Laurel hadn't really had one this year, with me working it's harder to find them to participate in. So, we went...Unfortunately, we missed it by a minute or so...but discovered it was a lost cause anyway for two-year-olds. It wasn't divided by age groups at all, so all the big kids got all the eggs...bummer! We decided to venture to the lake instead and the kids had a great time there. We watched the big kids skip rocks and the little ones enjoyed just throwing rocks in.. Oh the simple joys...they didn't even realize the missed egg hunt opportunity.
