Today Laurel is two weeks old. It is so hard to believe she has been around this long and then part of me is also thinking...it's only been two weeks? Yes, it is hard to imagine what life was like before her. We have to plan every thing we do around feedings....no more just hopping in the car to go to Lowe's or dinner...no more spontaneity...but we are so in love with her...it is all okay...those parts of life will return in good time.
We took our first trip into town today...just Mom and Laurel. We had to get to Babies R Us to pick up a few things...and by 11 AM we were on our way...in between feedings mind you! We got home about 12:50 in time for another feeding...so it was a success.
Last weekend we also took her out for the first time. First we took her to a Sunday School cookout that was held in the neighborhood. She did a great job and slept through the whole thing. Then on Sunday we took her to church for the first time...We were a few minutes late, but managed to find a couple of seats on the back row...again she did a great job...sleeping through the whole service...even the sermon! We are so proud that we have a baby that can go with us easily...at least so far!
